more snow

We just had about 3-5 inches of snow two days ago. I just checked weather and it looks like that we are getting another 3-5 inches of snow/ice tonight in our area. I hope that it does not happen. Tonight is my daughter's pre-school winter show and I do not want to get this to get canceled. My daughter has been practicing on her Christmas songs as well as one line that she has to say on the stage. I do not want to see her sad face!

Piano Lesson

My daughter has been working extra hard on her piano practice. She is going to attend her first piano recital on Dec. 14, 2008. I think that I am more nervous about this event than she is. She is going to perform twinkle twinkle little star and Away in a manger. We've got her pretty dress & shoes already for to wear. I can't wait until her recital day!

Nikon Ultimate Hunter's Package Deal

My dog made a mess!

Oh my goodness. When I woke up this morning, my entire house smelt a little funky. When I went down stairs in the kitchen, there was a big pile of dog poop right on middle of my kitchen floor. I was so upset. I was more upset the fact that my husband forgot to let our 2 dogs out last night before he went to bed. My older dog about good about not making messes in the house but youngest one(male dog) seems to have so many accidents in the house. I thought I was going to vomit while I was cleaning the mess!!!!! Anyway, this is not a good day to start off with... I hope that rest of the day goes well for me. Wish me luck!

A Time to give

During the Christmas time, I always want to help out poor children in this world to teach a lesson to my daughter that she is very fortunate to have a good life in the U.S. I am sure that other mom's out there are feeling the same way that I feel about helping needy children in this world.

I just found out that there is an organization called Christmas For Payatas that helps children in the Philippines. These children in the Philippines go to the landfill in Payatas everyday to pick through garbage so that they can get things that they can sell to make some money. These children are forced to climb up to the high mountain to get to the landfill but they do not even make enough money from it to buy food for the day. Christmas for Payatas is a charity appeal and they are raising donation for this Christmas for these kids in the Philippines. This is a very good cause that everyone can participate. There are footballers, politicians, celebrities and many more well known people have donated for this cause as well.

The landfill in Payatas, The Philippines, is notoriously known the world over as Smokey Mountain. For over 35 years, the smoking dump site has grown to become a stark and heart-tugging reminder of the desperate onditions of humanity.

On a daily basis, children pick through newly arrived garbage to
collect material to sell. The earnings made by one child are not enough to even buy food for the day. Hence, entire families are forced to climb the mountain each day, hoping to earn enough to feed everyone. Children as young as four years old are forced to work in this daily struggle for survival.

Christmas List

My daughter has been asking me about what she wants for this Christmas. She has a long list of toys that she wants this year. I told her that there is no way that Santa is going to bring all those things....then she says, "you can get them mommy! You have money!" I said "no I don't". Then she goes "You have credit cards....". I was so surprise to hear her say it. This is so sad that my daughter thinks that credit cards buys her everything. Yes, I do use credit card when I purchase things, but I always pay my balance off at the end of the month. I never pay finance charges. She is only 4 years old but I need to figure out a way to teach her about importance of money and being responsible. I wonder if she understands it...... Wish me luck.

sinus headache

I've been having a terrible sinus headaches since this morning. I've got stuffy nose, itchy throat and so on. I hate having allergy problems. Plus being pregnant is not helping my allergy problems. Due to hormonal changes, my sinus problems are worst then last allergy season. I just can't wait to have this baby. I hate the fact that I can't take any medication for my problems......Wish me luck to get better soon. Thanks!

Helping my neighbor friend

My next door neighbor got admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. She has two kids and none of her family members were able to take care them. My husband and I volunteered to take care of her 2 kids for one night. It was tough for me but I pushed myself to take care of 3 kids(including my daughter). At least the kids behaved well and we did not have any problems. By Wednesday afternoon, their grandma came to pick them up and I was so glad to see her. Both kids were sick so I may have gotten something from them. I hope that it is nothing.... I really do not want to get sick while I'm pregnant! I'm just going to have to drink a lot of water and try to get a lot of rest.

Sad Halloween....

This past Friday was kind of sad Halloween at our household. We were all prepared for many kids to come around our street but this year, only a few kids showed up at our door. Other main streets were very busy and had many kids going around... I wonder it is because our street has 2 vacant houses and most homeowners at our street were not home. We have so many left over candies now and we do not know what to do with them. Maybe I'll use them for my daughter's pre-school functions or something. Well, it was kind of sad Halloween but at least my daughter got to enjoy going out with her daddy!

Finally feeling better!

I never thought that this day would come but I am finally starting to feel better! Maybe my daughter's prayer has worked. She has been praying for me to get better every night and at her pre-school. I was not able to cook or clean before but I've been doing all that since this past weekend. I hope that this continues and my iron level to keep going up..... Not getting well....

I have been taking extra iron pills everyday due to pregnancy anemia. Well, it's been over 2 months of taking pills but I am still not getting well. I feel completely worthless. I can't do anything because I have no energy to do anything. I have a routine check up with my Dr. this Thursday so hopefully I can ask him many questions. I just can't wait.

Due to being an anemic while I am pregnant, I have been eating iron rich food everyday. Yes, I basically eat a lot of steaks, spinach, broccoli and so on. I am eating these food on top of taking extra iron pills each day. The worst feeling is that whenever I take my iron pill, I kind of have the metal taste in my mouth. Yuck!
